SPALDING United shipped their 100th Evo-Stik League First Division South goal of the season as Kidsgrove Athletic beat them 6-1 on Saturday, while Holbeach United beat Daventry United 1-0 to make it four UCL Premier Division wins on the trot.

Goals from Wayne Johnson (4), Dave Walker (55 and 67), Liam Shotton (81), Aiden Matranga (86) and Matt Haddrell (89) sent the Tulips crashing to another heavy loss at the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field.

Gary Pawson (80) did reply for Andy Stanhope’s side, but it’s now ten defeats in 11 games since he took charge of the club.

Walker’s second goal was 100th goal conceded by Spalding in what is surely going to be a relegation season.

In contrast, the Tigers’ recent revival continued with a 1-0 success at Carter’s Park.

Nick Brown’s second-half strike was enough for John Chand’s men, who are on by far their best run of form this season.

Elsewhere in the UCL Prem, Deeping Rangers were also in winning form, beating Desborough Town 2-0 at Outgang Road.

Ex-Spalding United duo Dan French and Rob Hughes were the scorers for Tuncay Korkmaz’s charges.

There was goals galore in the Peterborough and District League, as Pinchbeck United drew 4-4 at Netherton. Ian Dunn (2), Mark Lovelace and Ryan Birtles got the goals in the thriller.

Pete Roberts’ side missed the chance to close the gap on leaders Uppingham Town though, as they drew 2-2 at Crowland Town.
