Goals from Luke Kennedy and Dan Cotton fired Spalding United to a 2-1 Lincs FA Senior Trophy quarter final success at Sleaford Town on Tuesday night.
After UCL Premier Division rivals Sleaford had a goal controversially ruled out, Kennedy buried the opener for the Tulips from the penalty spot on 43 minutes.
Cotton added a second 12 minutes from time to wrap things up, although Luke Hollingworth late penalty (88) set up a tense finale.
Spalding could face rivals Holbeach United in the semis, should the Tigers see off Bourne Town in their last eight tie. John Chand’s side won the competition last year.
