SPALDING United have now conceded 18 goals in four games under Andy Stanhope after a 6-0 thumping at Rushall Olympic on Saturday, while Holbeach United drew 2-2 at bogey side Cogenhoe United.

Fresh off the back of Tuesday’s 6-1 hiding at Lincoln United, goals from Chris Morris (20), Chris Sterling (36, 50 & 80), Danny Lennon (44) and Grant Beckett (90) sent the Tulips crashing again.

The defeat keeps Spalding rooted to the bottom of Evo-Stik League First Division South - and they have now shipped a brutal 78 goals in their 28 league games so far.

Meanwhile, goals from Simon Mowbray and Pete Smith had Holbeach 2-1 at half time against Cogenhoe.

But a 49th-minute leveller from Matt Gearing - who also scored in the first half - left John Chand’s struggling side with just a share of the spoils.

Deeping Rangers enjoyed a 3-0 win over Raunds Town at Outgang Road though, as they bounced back from Tuesday’s 3-1 loss to Blackstones.

Matt Heron and Liam Harrold were among the scorers.

In UCL Division One, Bourne Town’s home clash with Burton Park Wanderers was called off due to a frozen Abbey Lawn pitch.

Down in the Peterborough and District League, Moulton Harrox crushed Crowland 7-1 to climb up to fifth in the Premier Division.

They boasted seven different scorers too, with Danny Cairns, Joe Townsend, Josh Ford, Nigel Steadman, Phil Groves, Steve Mastin and Steve Sinfield all on target.

There wasn’t such good news for title-chasing Pinchbeck United though, as they could only draw 1-1 at Whittlesey United.

Robbie Relf hit the Pinchbeck goal, but they are now eight points behind leaders Uppingham Town with three games in hand.
