Woeful weather decimated the UCL Premier Division fixture list last weekend – but you won’t hear Pat Rayment complaining.
The Spalding United boss feels the postponement of Saturday’s top-of-the-table clash at AFC Rushden and Diamonds benefited his team – as its allowed Andrew Tidswell, Jon Fairweather and Jordan Thomas time to get fit.
Rayment also expects this Saturday’s trip to Kempston Rovers (3pm) to be in serious doubt after more rain, but will prepare as usual.
He said: “We’ve yet to play Kemspton this season. Obviously they’re a mid-table team and we’ll be looking for three points.
“We’ve got 12 games left and it’s our job to keep winning.
“The aim is to go the rest of the season without losing another game. We’re at full strength now, so the break has helped us.”
Title favouites Spalding go into the game 16 points clear at the top of the table.
