DEEPING RANGERS 4 NEWPORT PAGNELL TOWN 0: Resurgent Deeping put back-to-back defeats behind them as they eased past lowly UCL Premier Division rivals Pagnell on Saturday.

Goals from Spencer Tinkler (16) and man-of-the-match Scott Ginty (43) put Rangers 2-0 up at the break, before Josh Moreman (70) and sub Scott Bogusz (88) completed the rout.

The win keeps free-scoring Rangers seven points behind leaders Spalding United in second, but they have played a game more than the Tulips.

Boss Tuncay Korkmaz said: “I felt we looked much more like ourselves. The shape was good and we were very good offensively again.

“We could really have scored a few more goals, but I was happy with the performance.”

Ginty crossed for free-scoring defender Tinkler to nod home the opener, before the midfielder instinctively dinked home the second just before the break after Moreman had seen a shot saved.

They had to wait until the closing stages to add to their tally, with Moreman cutting inside after a Dave Burton-Jones pass to slot number three.

Moreman turned provider for the fourth, crossing for Bogusz to fire home late on.

Deeping are back in Outgang Road action tonight, when they welcome UCL Division One side Wellingborough Whitworth in in the UCL Knockout Cup (7.45pm).

Rangers: Doughty, Flack, Parker, Tinkler, Stone, Burton-Jones, Gilbert (Young 74), Ginty, Oliver (Beck 74), Heron (Bogusz 84), Moreman.

• Sat: Sileby v Deeping (3pm).
