PINCHBECK United’s newly refurbished club bar has been named in honour of sponsor John Lyons.

Calling the new bar “The Lyons Den” is the club’s way of paying tribute to the MJL Skipmaster supremo, who has made a number of generous donations to their cause already this season.

Lyons has spent the best part of £10,000 revamping the bar and kitchen at the Knight Street club, while also sponsoring kits and club polo shirts for the first and reserve team.

Pinchbeck chairman Bruce Patterson said: “John is the driving force behind the club and his generosity is second to none. He is a big character with a big ambition and wants the club to succeed on and off the field.

“He is 100 per cent behind Pinchbeck United and we can not express how grateful we are to have the support of him and his family.”

The club is now open to the public on Friday (5pm-11pm), Saturday (noon-11pm) and Sunday (noon-11pm).

It will show live Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League and international football , as well as all other major televised sporting events.

• United also wish to thank Shaun Pickering, Millgate Landscapes, Thomas Peatlings, Spalding Photo Services and Claire Lucca for their continued support.
