PINCHBECK UNITED 3 UPPINGHAM TOWN 3: A STIRRING comeback failed to lift Ian Dunn’s spirits as Pinchbeck were held to a second successive draw.
Two crackers from Martin Turiccki and a David Laughton penalty put Uppingham 3-0 up at half-time in this wind affected Peterborough Premier Division clash on Saturday.
Title hopefuls United were level within ten minutes of the second period through Andy Law (2) and Tom Gosling, before wasting a string of chances to seal all three points.
Player/boss Dunn said: “We got what we deserved for a poor first half, but it could have been 10-3 to us at the end. We missed so many chances and didn’t defend properly.
“It was just one of those days. The wind played a massive part in the game and their lad took advantage with two stunners.
“Hopefully this run of two draws is our blip. We’ve got Uppingham again next week and should beat them.”
