FOOTBALL: Linnets get Deeping revenge, Tigers into drop zone

DEEPING Rangers were beaten 2-0 at King’s Lynn on Tuesday night, while Desborough Town’s 1-1 draw with Sleaford Town saw Holbeach United plunge into the bottom two of the UCL Premier Division.

Rangers handed the Linnets one of their two defeats this season late last year, but the promotion hopefuls gained a measure of revenge at The Walks Stadium.

Luke Thurlbourne gave Lynn a 21st minute advantage, but they did have to wait until the 88th minute to seal victory through Jack Defty.

Meanwhile, Desborough moved a point ahead of Holbeach to leave John Chand’s side facing a must-win basement battle at Rothwell Town this weekend.
