DEEPING Rangers and Pinchbeck United both returned to action on another weather-ravaged weekend.

After two weeks without any action, Rangers secured a 2-2 draw with high-flying Newport Pagnell on Saturday.

The away side took a 12th minute lead with a solo effort from Lewis Wilson and Daren Dykes doubled their money with his 22nd of the season after the break.

However, defender Kris Jones proved an unlikely hero for Deeping, netting twice in the last 12 minutes to secure a share of the UCL Premier Division spoils.

There was no such luck for Holbeach United and Bourne Town, with their respective fixtures against Daventry United and Whitworths postponed.

Meanwhile, Pinchbeck went goal crazy in the Lincs Junior Cup, thrashing AFC Louth 12-0 at Knight Street.

Mark Lovelace and Oliver Maltby hit hat-tricks, while Andrew Law (2), Jamie Cartlidge (2), Jake Cawthorne and Tom Roberts were also among the scorers.

Moulton Harrox’s game at Ancaster Rovers in the same competition fell foul of the weather, though.

In rugby, Spalding RFC’s game against Leighton Buzzard was off.
