Deeping Rangers 7 Rothwell Corinthians 1: TUNCAY Korkmaz feels that this rampant Rangers side is finally his own after they made it 13 goals in two games.
UCL Premier Division basement boys Rothwell were no match for red-hot Deeping, with Mark Jones (2), Liam Harrold and Kev Gilbert all on target before a dazzling ten-minute hat-trick from Matt Heron.
Korkmaz said: “Our last two games have looked easy on paper, but I never expected us to score so many goals.
“But it’s not just the strikers who have been doing well, we’ve been much-improved at the back too.
“I think we have a decent squad together now and it’s looking good for the rest of the season.
“The team finally feels like my own now and the results are starting to reflect that.”
Gilbert got the ball rolling for Rangers, but Rob Goodman did haul Rothwell level.
Of Deeping’s remaining six goals, super solo efforts from Jones and Heron were the pick of the bunch.
Rangers: Crockett, Smitheringale (Thomas), Ainslie, K Jones, Norman, Heron, Gilbert (Lomas), Stevenson, M Jones, Harrold (Hughes), French. Not used: Korkmaz.

IT’S not often Bourne manage a clean-sheet or an away win – so Darren Munton was delighted to grab both on Saturday.
Craig Rook pounced on a flick-on from veteran player/boss Munton to fire the winner deep into stoppage time – and hand Bourne their third UCL Division One success on the road this season.
Munton said: “Away wins and clean sheets are both rarities for us so we’ll enjoy this result.”
Wakes: Jarman, Rook, Cardall, McDonnell, Nelson, Jesson, Currall, Moss, Brockbank (Firth), Easson (Munton), Lambie.
