PINCHBECK UTD 0 MOULTON HARROX 2 (Bradbury, Ball pen): Moulton’s sensational start to the Chromasport Peterborough League Premier Division was extended on Tuesday at their fiercest rivals.

Ian Bradbury nodded them ahead after 30 minutes from an excellent Martin Gordon cross. And Jon Ball’s penalty sealed Harrox’s fifth straight win.

Pinchbeck is a shadow of the team which won the championship last season and can take some comfort from limiting a team on fire to just two goals, although their chances were at a premium.

Moulton secretary Paul Crowson said: “Our keeper had little to do, thanks largely to the back four.

“Nigel Steadman, who partnered Bobby Patterson at the back, was superb, which is not bad for a 44-year-old!”

Moulton had Sean Gedney and Billy King in to replace Ben Allen and Dan Woods, who were injured in a five-a-side tournament on Sunday.

Key players will also be missing on Saturday for the visit of Deeping Rangers Reserves (2pm).

Harrox Reserves are going well too with last weekend’s 0-0 draw at Sawtry extending their unbeaten start to three matches.
