HOLBEACH United’s hopes of finishing fourth in the UCL Premier Division ended on Tuesday night after a 1-1 draw at Daventry United.
Andrew Tidswell did put John Chand’s Tigers 1-0 up on the half hour, but a Tom Lorraine leveller just before the break secured Daventry a draw in their last-ever match before folding.
Holbeach had Mitch Griffiths sent off in the second half at Communications Park to compound their misery.
The result guarantees a fourth-placed finish for Deeping Rangers, who host Holbeach in a season finale on Friday night (7.45pm).
The Tigers require a draw or better to finish fifth in the standings.
