FOOTBALL: Hinchingbrooke Cup derby a massive doubt

Tonight’s Hinchingbrooke Cup quarter-final derby between Bourne Town and Deeping Rangers (7.45pm) is a major doubt.

The Wakes’ Abbey Lawn surface has taken a real battering in recent weeks – and despite the snow relenting, it’s still in a bad way.

When the game does go ahead, it’ll be the first competitive meeting between the old South Lincolnshire rivals since Bourne were demoted to UCL Division One back in 2010.

Meanwhile, the Wakes have lost influential skipper Dan Smith to UCL Premier Division outfit Peterborough Northern Star.
