It was a day to forget for Spalding United and Holbeach United as they both crashed to heavy pre-season losses on Saturday.
The Tulips were soundly-beaten 4-0 at higher-graded St Neots Town, while the Tigers were smashed 6-0 at Stamford.
Starting with Spalding, goals from Lewis Hilliard (16), Adrian Sear (57), Dion Sembre-Ferris (78) and Andy Palmer (88) eased St Neots to victory.
To make matters worse, star striker Andrew Tidswell suffered a broken hand in the match and will be in plaster for up to six weeks.
Holbeach, meanwhile, fell victim to a four-goal show from Stamford striker Jordan Smith. John Challinor and an own goal wrapped up the scoring for the Step Three Daniels.
Elsewhere, Deeping’s pre-season date at Mildenhall was called off and Bourne Town were handed a 3-0 home reverse by Peterborough League side Whittlesey.
