HOLBEACH UNITED 8 SLEAFORD TOWN 0: Robbie Harris and Andrew Tidswell both hit hat-tricks as the Tigers hammered hapless Sleaford on Wednesday night.

The Tigers overtook rivals Spalding United to re-take second place in the UCL Premier Division after the Carter’s Park romp, with Craig Parker and Tommy Treacher also on target.

After two winless outings, John Chand’s high-flying side were back at their impressive best in the Lincolnshire derby – and were ahead inside 60 seconds through Harris.

The ex-King’s Lynn Town ace added two more in the first period (18 & 37) as he enjoyed his best night to date in yellow and black, before Parker (39) put Holbeach 4-0 up at the break.

The final four goals arrived in an incredible final ten minutes, as substitute Tidswell fired an incredible seven-minute hat-trick (80, 81 and 87).

Sandwiched in between his second and third was another strike from fellow sub Treacher (83).

Next up for Chand’s high-flying side is a home clash with Kempston Rovers on Saturday (3pm).

Tigers: Emery, Flack,Jackson, Toyne, Brown (Warfield), Stevens, Griffiths, Hughes, Mulready (Treacher), Harris (Tidswell), Parker.

• Holders Holbeach will meet Bourne Town in the quarter-finals of Lincolnshire FA Senior Trophy after the Wakes stunned Blackstones 3-0 at Lincoln Road on Wednesday.

Dan Smith (30 & 58) and Seb Hood (90) struck for the UCL Division One side, who were beaten by the Tigers in last year’s semi-final.

That duel was marred by two floodlight failures at the Abbey Lawn – but this time the duo will square off at Carter’s Park.

The other quarter final see Sleaford host Spalding United, Bottesford Town welcome Appleby Frodingham and last year’s beaten finalists Barton Town Old boys visit Cleethorpes Town.
