TOM Gosling’s late strike fired Pinchbeck United to a 3-2 PFA Senior Cup final win over Netherton United on Monday night.
The striker jumped off the bench to notch five minutes from time at London Road, securing Pinchbeck’s first-ever success in the Peterborough and District League’s top cup competition.
Ian Dunn’s side had fallen behind early on when Tom Randall struck on 12 minutes, but Nick Bishop soon levelled with a freak strike from distance.
A Keith Gray strike then put Pinchbeck ahead just before the break, but this Ben Cullen levelled quickly for Netherton.
That set the stage for Gosling, who delivered a fine late finish to secure the crown for Dunn’s men and clinch the first part of a potential league and cup double.
