SPALDING UNITED 2 HOLBEACH UNITED 0: Former Holbeach favourites Andrew Tidswell and Jamie Stevens fired Spalding to another derby victory over their fierce rivals on Tuesday night.

Striker Tidswell (penalty 16) and skipper Stevens (89) scored in each half at a rain-drenched Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field, as the Tulips bounced back from their first UCL Premier Division loss of the season.

It’s now four South Holland ‘clasico’ victories this season for Pat Rayment’s side, while Holbeach lose their proud record of nine league matches without a defeat.

Meanwhile, a serious injury to Deeping Rangers’ Scott Bogusz saw their game at Boston Town abandoned in the second half.

Bogusz was taken for hospital with a suspected neck injury after falling heavily. They score was 1-1 at the time, with Ryan Oliver the Deeping scorer.

More on both matches in Thursday’s Spalding Guardian.
