Destructive duo Deeping Rangers and Spalding United marched on in the UCL Premier Division on Saturday with impressive away wins.

Rangers remain top after drubbing hosts Desborough Town 8-1, while the second-placed Tulips picked up an calm 2-0 triumph at Peterborough Northern Star.

Starting with Deeping, Alex Beck (3), Josh Moreman (2), Ryan Oliver (2) and Mitch Griffiths all netted as the league’s leading scorers ran riot.

Deeping now have a goal difference of 33 after just ten games and have won nine games on the bounce.

Spalding are level on points with Tuncay Korkmaz’s men with a game in hand, as Andrew Tidswell (37) and Lee Beeson (68) notched at Chestnut Avenue.

Tidswell’s opener was a lovely team move, with the leading scorer converting from close range after a neat Mark Jones cross.

The second was more scrappy, with Beeson benefiting from a spill by keeper Lee Crockett - who had an otherwise excellent game - to slide home on the line.

Pat Rayment’s Tulips have won all nine of the league games this term - and are close to 800 minutes without conceding a goal in the UCL Premier Division.

Down in Division One, Bourne Town stay in the bottom four after a 4-0 beating at Buckingham Town.
