FOOTBALL: 2012 stats for Holbeach, Spalding and Deeping

A look back on the year in statistics for UCL Premier Division trio Holbeach United, Spalding United and Deeping Rangers shows that all three can be happy with their efforts.

It was a very successful 2012 for Holbeach, who won 38 of their 54 games in all competitions – giving them a winning percentage of just over 70 per cent.

John Chand’s side also drew five and lost 11, with their biggest success being an 8-0 home triumph over Sleaford Town on October 7.

The Tigers also picked up some silverware, landing the Lincs FA Senior Trophy back in April with a 2-0 win over Barton Town Old Boys.

Deeping had the next best winning percentage of 59.6 per cent, having picked up 31 victories from their 52 matches. Tuncay Korkmaz’s charges also managed nine draws and suffered 12 losses.

Their largest win was also against Sleaford, who the crushed 9-0 at Outgang Road on November 3.

It was statistically a fine year for Spalding too, as they won just over 57 percent of their games. The Tulips picked up 24 wins from 42 matches, drawing seven and losing 11.

Pat Rayment’s side did enjoy the biggest win of the year though, smashing Irchester United 11-1 on September 8.
