Spalding United manager Pat Rayment has been pleased to see a more professional approach to pre-season training.

The Tulips have so far only had a couple of sessions this summer ahead of the Evo-Stik League First Division South campaign.

But Rayment has already seen the influence of his new signings who previously played at a higher level.

He said: “The squad is in very good shape and I can see a big difference in terms of the quality and professionalism which comes with the backgrounds of our new players.”

Spalding’s first friendly is away to Peterborough Sports on Saturday.
