Joint-manager Graham Drury was unhappy – despite a late winner for Holbeach United.

He felt the Tigers dropped below their standards as they made it two successive wins.

They were pushed all the way by Desborough Town at Carter’s Park.

Lee Beeson gave Holbeach the lead after 34 minutes but Dave Goodman levelled on his Ar Tarn debut after 67 minutes.

Just three minutes remained when Ash Fuller won the contest for the Tigers.

Drury said: “After taking the lead we dropped the tempo.

“They slowed the game down by taking a long time over throw-ins. They tried to catch us on the break and played one up front.

“I suppose we will have to get used to that playing at home.

“We need to play at a high tempo and move the ball from side to side.

“We put in a performance which dropped below our standards.

“But the positive thing is we got three points on the board and it’s another game where the lads have played together.

“It’s all about playing to our capabilities individually and as a team.”
