NEW Saracen’s Head toasted a top Sutton Bridge RBL Domino League double after completing another stellar season.

But the domino dominators were denied a treble by wooden spoon holders Rose and Crown, who upset the odds to land the other cup on offer.

After knocking the spots off their opposition to land the league title by a clear four points, NSH saw off basement boys Rose and Crown to lift the Supreme Cup too.

But revenge was sweet for the Fleet side, who turned the tables on the double winners in the League Cup.

Rose and Crown’s skipper Mike Birchall also had a successful end to the season in the individual stakes.

He lifted both the singles title and the Captain’s Cup, while the pairs crown went to Dick Dunham and Geoff Ingham of Holbeach United Football Club A.

All of the trophy winners got their hands on their silverware at the end of season bash at the Rose and Crown on Tuesday night.
