SACKS closed the gap at the top of the Spalding Indoor Cricket League table with a cracking win over leaders Colonials.

Sutton bowled first and a spree of wickets left Colonials on -4 after six overs.

But some aggressive batting by Rod Parsons (17) and then Ansar Hussain (19), who destroyed anything short or wide, helped Colonials post 28 runs.

In reply Sacks were firmly in control as the opening pair posted 14 runs for the first partnership despite a wobbly start.

Durc Wright (three bowling points) pegged them back, but a super innings from top scorer Tim Norris (24), who dispatched the ball all over the place, put the game to bed.

Played & Missed (21) beat Moulton Harrox (4) by 17 Runs

Played and Missed continued their hot streak with a comprehensive win.

They started brightly, working singles around as they looked like they could post a large total.

Harrox stepped it up a gear though, as they took five wickets in as many overs. But a slight recovery by the final pair took the score to a respectable 21 runs. Stu Parker (11) top scored.

Harrox reply started brightly in their reply as Nigel Eveleigh (5) and top scorer Oliver Saville (8) pushed the score to 13 from five overs. Played and Missed looked to be out of it, but nine wickets in the remaining ten overs meant that Harrox fell well short or the required total.
