Long Sutton Sacks (50) beat Spalding CC (12) by 38 runs: SACKS took over at the top of the Spalding Indoor Cricket League with a comprehensive win.
Batting first, the Sutton openers put on 13, before Paul Edgeller (15) helped the second duo reach 34.
The final pair hit out in the last five, four wickets plus good bowling helped to stem the flowing runs as The Sacks ended on 50 runs.
Spalding never really got going chasing down the huge total. Boundaries were the only way that they could reach the total, but a fantastic bowling display meant that only five of them were scored in the entire innings.
Edgeller (5 points) was the pick of the bowlers as Spalding managed just 12.
Moulton Harrox (40) beat Spalding Grammar (12) by 28 runs.
MOULTON came out on top in the bottom of the table clash.
They were on top straight away with a wicket off the first ball, but the Grammar recovered well.
Harrox piled on the pressure by taking regular wickets, but, helped by Christian Green (14), Spalding reached 12.
Chasing a low total was never going to be difficult though, and Moulton made light work of it. Simon Heath led the charge with 19 runs, while an impressive 18-run over for Harrox put them in command – despite losing two wickets in two overs early on.
