Sam Evison hit a half-century as Bourne 2nd won at leaders Grantham in the South Lincolnshire and Border League Premier Division.

Evision top-scored with 50 as fourth-placed Bourne reached 166-7. Xanti Xipu then took four wickets as Bourne edged home by seven runs.

Another bowler in fine form was Moulton Harrox’s Henry Lavery, who took 5-17 as hosts Skegness were skittled out for 88.

Harrox went on to win by six wickets.

Paul Edgeller was again in superb form with the bat as Long Sutton defeated Stamford.

Edgeller hit an unbeaten 92 and would surely have recorded his fourth century of the season had Sutton not already reached their target with five wickets to spare.

The top-of-the-table clash in Division One saw Spalding 2nd beaten by Grantham.

The visitors’ 44-run success saw them close the gap at the top to three points.

Skipper Chris Klompas top-scored for Spalding 2nd with a knock of 32 while Sanjeet Tott took five Grantham wickets.

Billingborough 2nd are third after a two-wicket win at Friskney, with Aaron Pullum taking six wickets and Nathan Garfoot hitting 83.

Rob Simpson also took six wickets as Long Sutton 2nd won at Boston 2nd by six wickets.

In Division Two, Richard Riley hit an unbeaten 54 in Pinchbeck’s seven-wicket defeat by Freiston.
