Sutton continued to dominate the table after comprehensively defeating Moulton at Paradise Field on Sunday.

Sutton were asked to bat and started brightly with Ed Booth (27) and Phil Barnes (19). When both were dismissed in quick succession accompanied by sudden losses of Adam Wright (2) and Steve Skoulding (0), Sutton slipped to 60-4.

However, Paul Edgeller (20) and skipper Bull (60) helped the score to 166, with Moulton captain Mark Woodall claiming 5-46.

Pace bowler Edgeller (3-8) decimated the Moulton top order, ably supported by Barry Stanway (2-14). Jimmy Wright (3-0) and Jake Burton (2-0) mopped up as Moulton were dismissed for 29.

Vice captain Wright said: “I believe our bowling attack is up their with the very best in the whole league.

“Any one of our four lads can produce a magic spell. And the skipper made crucial runs at a time when we needed him.”
