JONATHAN Cheer cracked an unbeaten century as Market Deeping were crushed by lowly Boston in the Lincs ECB Premier Division on Saturday.

Opener Cheer made a superb 106 not out from just 90 balls at Outgang Road, helping Boston chase down Deeping’s 157-7 for the loss of just one wicket.

Tom Baxter had earlier taken 5-23 to limit the hosts, who were indebted to a 47 from opener Jamie Morgan. Deeping now drop into the bottom three.

Bourne also tasted defeat, as high-flying Haxey surpassed their tally of 214-9 with seven wickets in hand. Conrad Louth’s 75 was the highlight for Bourne, who have surprisingly only won two of their 15 games so far.

Haxey were inspired by a fine 132 not out from opener Graeme Attenborough.
