FAHAD Masood and Dave Gillet set new Lincs ECB Premier records on Saturday as the season enters the home stretch.
Bourne’s Pakistani all-rounder Masood took stunning figures of 7-43 to to smash Kristian Adams’ record of most wickets taken in a season (67), while Market Deeping skipper Gillet took three catches to better his own record of 17 pouches in a campaign.
Masood’s heroics were the highlight of a Bourne demolition job against Boston, which kept their hopes of retaining their title firmly alive.
Third-placed Boston were blown away on the home turf as they were bowled out for just 92 inside 30 overs. There was no such trouble for Bourne, as Conrad Louth (28 not out) eased them to a six-wicket success.
Bourne are now 20 points behind leaders Bracebridge Heath – and they make the trip to Lincoln to face their rivals this Saturday (11.30pm).
Deeping beat Lindum by one wicket, with Ali Sharp making a defiant 41.
