Bourne increased the gap at the top of the Lincolnshire ECB Premier League to 35 points after beating last season’s champions Sleaford in a high-scoring game.
The home side made 245-7 but an unbeaten 98 from Stuart Airey and 71 from Pete Morgan saw Bourne to a six-wicket win.
Grimsby put clear water between themselves and the bottom two, recording their third win of the season with an excellent batting performance against Market Deeping.
Maninder Singh hit the day’s only century with an unbeaten 114 and Steve Butterfield made 66 of Grimsby’s total of 255-5 – the highest team score of the day.
Danny Cliffe then took five wickets as Deeping were bowled out for 104.
Spalding ensured they stayed above Skegness with victory over Billingborough for whom veteran Roy Tilley claimed his second five-wicket haul.
Spalding just failed to reach maximum batting points with 224-9 before bowling Billingborough out for 124.
