MARTIN Wormall has signed for Spalding United on a permanent basis after a shock transfer U-turn.
Only this week, Alan Biley had told the Spalding Guardian that the striker had decided to return and fight for a place at Corby Town

But Wormall has now penned a deal with the Tulips, that will see him a permanent fixture at the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field.

A delighted Biley said: "It's great to have Martin back, he was always my first choice signing.

"He thought he was going to get a chance back at Corby, but it seems that wasn't the case."

Wormall goes straight into the squad to face Gresley Rovers on Saturday.
