White picked up the coveted title in Croatia, after bossing the age 70-74 category.
Playing some of her best table tennis to date, White disposed of German opposition throughout the competition - dropping just three ends in total.
After winning
bronze medals in the Euros before, claiming gold is the icing on the cake for her career.
The first of the Spalding and District Table Tennis League's summer sessions drew 14 players, 12 league members and 2 visitors. This was considered, slightly disappointing and certainly short of the numbers needed to cover league costs.
However, the two visitors had a good workout and at least one of them will definitely return.
For those interested, the league we be playing each Wednesday, members will be on hand to play or pass on playing tips.
A small fee will be required to cover expenses.
