Plymouth 60 Boston "Staffsmart" Barracudas 32
The scoreline didn't reflect the efforts put in by Boston.

Gosberton Risegate teenager Simon Lambert weighed in with 15 points including a double point second place in heat 11 when he took his rider replacement ride.

Other than that ride he picked up three race wins and kept the score a little more respectable on the night.

l The Barracudas only had a couple of days before they were back on home shale for the Conference Trophy semi-final first leg against Buxton.

The home side started the meeting like the proverbial train and led by 15 points after just six races.

Boston finally ran out winners by 26 points and Adam Lowe collected a season's best 13 in a match full of incidents.

  • The second leg is a week on Sunday.
