ENERGETIC youngster Joe Adam Hardy raced to a time trial title at the British Inline Roller Speed Skating Championships last weekend.
The 11-year-old, of Whaplode St Catherine, took just 23.744 seconds to cover 200m on the recently-resurfaced track at Tatum Park, Enfield.

It won him the Pupil Boys' title to the delight of his clubmates from Team Belotti Wisbech.

Joe was also second in the 200m points race, first in the 500m heats and second in the final.

Team-mate Michael McInerney, of Gedney, was the winner of the veteran men's 3,000m race and finished fourth in the senior men's 15,000m points race.

He was also part of three-man team that came third in the 5,000m junior/ senior men's relay race.
