Holbeach & District League
SUTTON Bridge Con Club B stormed to the top of Division Two with a 7-2 win over Bull B.

They moved level on points with Anchor A, who slipped to a disappointing 5-4 defeat at Five Bells A.

A disastrous start saw them lose each of the first five
games, giving hosts Five Bells an unassailable advantage.

Anchor did manage to win the last four games, but the damage had already been done.

New Saracen's Head also missed the chance to reclaim top spot, going down to a dramatic 5-4 defeat against Elizabethan B.

Elizabethan pairing T Tomizzi and K Palmer clinched victory in the decisive last game.

In Division One, Horse and Groom A won 6-3 at Station A to ease any lingering relegation fears they may have harboured.

Meanwhile, Bull D edged out Star A 5-4 to keep themselves in mid-table.

Elsewhere, Parkside B tightened their grip on the Division Three crown with a routine 8-1 win at Jolly Crispin C.

Only K Potterill managed a win for Crispin, leaving Parkside four points clear of Bull A, who lost 5-4 at Jolly Crispin D.

At the bottom, Exchange A claimed a crucial 5-4 win over fellow strugglers Holbeach USC D, with the pair of R Griggs and B Russell sealing victory in the penultimate game.

The Division Four title race took a twist last week as leaders Crown and Woolpack crashed 5-4 at Anchor B.

Bull C took full advantage by beating Five Bells B 8-1, moving them level at the top of the table, although Crown and Woolpack have a game in hand.
