Spalding Golf Club's Gooch Cup has been won by Tracey and Kevin Siddle.
Their score of 41 points in the mixed greensome Stableford competition was the same as Chris and Steve Leggatt, but the Siddles won on countback to take the much coveted trophy.

Lesley Plumpton and Keith Williams came third on 40, with Noreen Tointon and Barry Simmonite and Lisa Howling and Doug Garfoot equal fourth, both on 38.

  • The two men's scratch teams, sponsored by Moore Thompson and Utopia UK Ltd, had mixed fortunes in their latest round of matches in the South Lincs Scratch League.

The 1st team had a convincing 5-0 home win against Burghley Park.

This victory puts them three points clear at the top of the table with three games to play.

It was a cracking match which was very tight all the way round with four of the six games only being decided at the final hole.

Winning Spalding pairs were Steve Wade and Andy Grimwood (3&2), Mark Mitchell and Tom Ladbrook (2&1), with Lloyd Chatham and Charles Lacey, Daniel Hines and Phil Packard, and Gary Palmer and Richard Laud all winning 1 up.
