Moulton Harrox replaced Spalding as leaders of South Lincs and Border League Division Two.
Spalding (173-8) beat Caythorpe by 62 runs

Spalding slipped from the top of South Lincs and Border League Division Two after dropping two of the 20 points available.

Moulton Harrox took up the running after an eight-wicket defeat of Welby.

The sides are due to meet at Memorial Field on Saturday, August 16, in a fixture which is rapidly becoming ever more important.

Spalding openers Mick East and Simon Juckes made a confident start against some indifferent bowling after Caythorpe elected to field.

The introduction of spinner Brooks accounted for East (16).

Juckes and Parsons upped the run rate with some fine shots and good running before Juckes (41) was run out and Parsons (35) departed quickly.

The momentum was maintained by Jon East (24) and Lee Eyett (18).

Quick wickets fell as Spalding pushed to get maximum batting points, but the innings closed on 173-8.

They made an early breakthrough with the ball, Jamie Juckes deceiving Bush with a slower ball to take middle stump.

A good partnership between Braithwaite and Louth ensued before the introduction of Simon Juckes (4-32) and Andy Casswell (3-22) put Spalding firmly en route to victory.

Shannon Johns (2-0) mopped up the tail as Caythorpe were all out on 111.
