The leadership of three tables in EBA Section Four League changed last week as the season enters the closing stages.
And it could prove to have been a significant point in Group A, the only table not to have a change at the top.

Royal Mail Cart stretched their lead to 15 points with five matches to play (before last night's fixtures). It was the perfect riposte
following their first defeat of the season seven days earlier.

Moulton Harrox look as though they will have to make the most of their match in hand, but Donington and Carter's Park cannot be discounted from making a challenge after big wins last week.

Mail Cart took all ten points from a trip to Holbeach USC while nearest title rivals Moulton Harrox were going down 8-2 at Billingborough.

Mail Cart won on two rinks comfortably and the 10-0 rout was complete with Richard Allen, Stu Callaby, Allan Radford and Paul Simpson edging home by one shot against Ivor Dowse, Eric Bidwell, Dan Stanton and Don Hibbens.

Moulton salvaged a couple of points from their match with a four-shot (17-13) win for Kevin Ekins, Justyn Stanley, H Greaves and R Hutchinson.

The eight points did Billingborough the power of good near the foot.

Donington moved up one place to third with an 8-2 win at Spalding Town A, while Terry Crane's Carter's Park side crushed Castle A 10-0 and by 35 shots.

Group B: Ayscoughfee replaced Bourne Town A at the top after netting two points more.

The Spalding side were one of three teams to take maximum points last week.

They won 63-40 at BSC to join Bourne Town B and Deepings as 10-0 winners.

The Long Sutton set of Chris Garratt, Phil Sheldrick, Dennis Fairbrother and Reg Cox stopped Bourne Town A taking all three rinks and ultimately cost them the leadership.

Triples League A: Carter's Park A were deposed from top spot after their third defeat of the season.

They drew on one rink and shared the other two with Royal Mail Cart, who won on aggregate by just one shot (54-53).

BSC took advantage of that slip-up by jumping to top spot with eight points from a two-shot win over Moulton Harrox A.

Performance of the week came from Spalding Town A's T Geldart G Taylor and D Spridgen, who walloped a Holbeach USC A set 44-2. It was a tough introduction for new Holbeach signing P Broderick.

Triples League B: Bourne Town lost for only the second time this season - and with it surrendered the lead in the table.

Carter's Park A beat them at home 8-2, Mick Fish, and G and K Gray being top scorers with 28 shots.

New Consti player I White skipped a set to a 17-10 win at Moulton Harrox B. The Spalding side hit top spot with a handsome 37-shot win for all ten points.
