Every year, the Holbeach Town and Country Fayre is held over a weekend in June and provides entertainment and outdoor enjoyment in various forms.

It attracts many visitors of all ages and has done so for many years, with the aim of being able to donate proceeds to local causes in the area.

All the work that is involved falls upon a small but dedicated committee, who work behind the scenes in order for the event to happen, with help over the actual event weekend from assorted groups and volunteers, without whom it could not happen.

In recent years, the event has gone from strength to strength and is now looked upon as one of the prestigious summer events in the Lincolnshire outdoor calendar.

While it’s comforting to know that visitors come from near and far to be part of the event, for which the committee is grateful that their efforts have helped to make it possible, there is a shortage of committee members if the event is to carry on into the future at its present scale.

While the event has grown in size and scope, the organising side has not and more members are required.

Therefore, on behalf of the committee, I would like to invite anyone who feels that they can offer their participation to join the committee and help make this event even better.

Forward is the only way to go, but it does need more people in the organising section to make it possible.

This invitation is open to anybody who feels they can offer input into keeping this event alive for the future, and make it stronger.

Anybody interested, or wishing more details, can attend the annual meeting being held in the United Services Club, Church Street, Holbeach, on Monday, October 3, at 7.30pm, or contact us by email at holbeachtcf@gmail.com or phone 07599 634830. We look forward to hearing from you.
