Have your say

I am writing to say thank you to all members of the Dying Matters Coalition and to local residents for making Dying Matters Awareness Week in May such a success.

Town halls, community groups, arts venues, hospitals, hospices, GP surgeries, care homes, law firms, banks, building societies and funeral directors were among those holding events and activities aimed at raising awareness about the importance of talking more openly about death and bereavement.

Planning ahead may not be easy, but it can help us to make the most of life and spare our loved ones from making difficult decisions on our behalf.

Whether it’s through planning for your future care and support, writing a will, or recording your funeral wishes, talking about your wishes can make a real difference.
