Renew of Boston wants to go further than they have gone before! Yes we continue to grow in the community and recent donations have made a world of difference to people in Boston who need them and they have gone further in helping us to put back into the community with the funds we have raised.

Now we want to go even further. Yes we want to collect furniture from people who live in the villages around Boston to a distance of 20 miles! We are confident that there are people in and around Boston who have furniture that they no longer need and would happily part with to allow someone who needs it and can put it to good use.

We always find a good home for people’s unwanted furniture and put the money we make from it to good use as well. We continue to reduce landfill by re-using furniture and the money made from this keeps the doors to our charity open, as well as providing money for other work we do. We have a project which provides for mediation for divorce in Lincolnshire and the money from Renew has, in part, helped to set this up. We also place money into our Vulnerable Household Fund to provide desperate families and individuals with the items of furniture they need to make their lives function in a world that needs a bed to sleep in, and a little comfort such as a sofa, as well as something to cook in and a stove to cook on.

Again Lincolnshire is a county that needs to provide something for our children and this October Living Well will run Unleashed in Louth. This is a dance/drama three-day extravaganza for young people between 8 and 18.

This event is entirely funded by Living Well and grants from other partners. It will be a dance, music, graffiti filled three days followed by a show for friends and family held in the beautiful Saint James church in Louth on the evening of the third day.

And to build on its success we hope to find funding for a similar event in Boston in 2016.

So please, if you have any spare furniture that you would like to donate to Renew call us on our Boston number 01205 838604 and arrange a collection from our team. We take most things so long as they work – fridges, freezers, washing machines as well as living, dining room or bedroom furniture and no distance under 20 miles is too great.
