We need safer areas

Stopping in one of the nicest country towns, I, along with a good neighbour, was disturbed beyond distraction by excess vehicles opposite the railway station.

Let’s hope that the worthy councillors moot for traffic-free extensions and do their best to get the supermarkets to comply. Either traffic wardens to make space for pedestrian shoppers, or the police to enforce the no parking rules where vehicle congestion exists.

That would give us quieter, safer and cleaner areas for all members of the general public. The sooner the better.
