SINCE the Station Approach closure to Swan Street we have noticed a much freer flow of traffic between Winfrey Avenue and Winsover Road in Spalding.
Prior to the closure there was a continuous long tailback of traffic from the traffic lights opposite to Sainsbury’s, reaching as far back as the roundabout opposite Sainsbury’s filling station.
Would it not be far more practical to carry on with the closure of Swan Street until a proper assessment has been carried out?
At the moment we have far too many sets of traffic lights for a town the size of Spalding.
Any practical suggestions which can ease the traffic congestion should be welcomed with open arms.
Instead of dismissing ideas out of hand let’s have some positive action which will help to sweeten people’s tempers!
