Thought for the week: How can I make a difference?

Have your say

As we look around at the world today we can very easily lose hope! As changes are being made many people face cuts in benefits and major cuts in the public sector can bring confusion into the lives of many.

I believe we can bring hope into our community and our lives and the lives of others when we still have a desire to make a difference. We have that choice!

As a believing Christian I read these words in Act 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good, for God was with Him. I like that, “Jesus went about doing good”. In other words helping people practically. He went to those who were losing hope, to give them hope.

I want to thank all our volunteers within Agapecare Foodbank, who are giving hope to those who need help during this time of uncertainty. You are making a difference in the lives of people within our community. Please accept a special note of thanks to all those of you who give donations, financially and practically to Agapecare. You too are making a difference in our community.
