Have faith in Jesus and not missiles
With the concerns being expressed about what could happen in North Korea, we can be excused for thinking that everything is out of control and that we are on a collision course with oblivion.
When I am feeling worried or down, I often turn to the book of Psalms in my bible and re-read some of the great truths.
Psalm 148 is all about ‘Praising the Lord’: 1Praise the LORD from the heavens, praise him in the heights above.
What follows is a catalogue of all the different things in our world that should be praising God, including: “11 Kings of the earth and all nations, you princes and all rulers on earth, 12 young men and maidens, old men and children. 13 Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is exalted; his splendor is above the earth and the heavens.”
My prayer this week is that rulers in all countries, including North Korea, will be led to read and understand that it is God who is important and not them. That faith in Missiles can so easily destroy them as well; while faith in Jesus Christ guarantees everlasting life. Praise the Lord.
