SPALDING TOWN CENTRE: Councillors, speak up and act, now!

Have your say

Why do none of our councillors respond in words or better still in action on the question of allowing the town to become so rundown, dirty and scruffy?

Surely in a conservation area the council can act to get the awful Polish shop fronts to paint a more appropriate colour and clean the frontages of these establishments.

I think we have yellow backbones in this authority, not yellow bellies!

Why is our MP not at the forefront of this increasingly anti-social problem in an area quickly becoming a no go area for residents. I certainly do not want to go there.

Where is our civic pride? What do these elected town members do for us or are they all too busy travelling up to Lincoln with their county council hats on!?

Dirty, litter-stewn footpaths, unswept roads and pot holes – you name it and we have it. Councillors, get something done for your community.

Speak up and ACT – I am sure they will when it comes to re-election!

EDITOR: To be fair, MP John Hayes has recently fronted a campaign against anti-social behaviour, resulting in a promise of action from South Holland District Council.
