SHELTERED HOMES: I have lost all my sense of security

Have your say

I am an 80-year-old female. Last April I moved into sheltered hosing in Spalding and sold my bungalow in August.

Within three weeks of moving the wing mirror of my car (parked outside my bungalow) was smashed.

In August my keys went missing and my car disappeared the next night.

The police found it next day undamaged and locked up. A few days later I was able to collect my car from Boston. The keys were still missing so I temporarily fitted a steering wheel lock on my car.

After a few days, in the middle of the night, my car was again stolen and driven erratically away.

It was found wrecked by the police the next day at Cowbit.

I have no car now, I have lost all sense of security that I hoped I would have in ‘sheltered’ housing. What a joke! Why did I move?
