Reading the latest letter claiming to expose the UKIP position on the EU is, in my view, completely disingenuous.
No wonder voters are fed up.On the subject of the EU, voters need to be clear about one thing; currently the Conservative party are the only party that is divided on Europe.
Most Tories will hide behind their current default position
One third of the party want ‘out’, while the other third want ‘in’, the remainder seem to ‘fence-sit’, having bought the lie that the Treaty of Rome can be re-negotiated entirely in the UK’s interest and then a decision lays with the electorate.
Okay, Conservative Party, let’s have the debate right now, let’s start by your MPs telling us their true position on Europe? We need to know, is that so unreasonable?
Regretfully, in my opinion, we are unlikely to be so enlightened, and most Tories will hide behind their current ‘default position’ which is, only discussing the EU and our relationship, therein, after the general election in the run-up to a promised 2017 ‘In/Out’ referendum. How ridiculous. Why should anyone want to cast a vote for a divided party that is promising, if David Cameron wins the election...a two year, name-calling, divisive and massively expensive referendum that has only one certainty, and that is; whatever the outcome; the Tory party will still be divided.
So,whatever one wishes to say about UKIP, so far, it doesn’t appear to be divided on
