In response to your article in the Lincolnshire Free Press on February 19 about Holbeach Toddler Group, I would like to say the following:
I have been taking my niece (21 months) to the toddler group at the reading rooms for the last couple of months.
I was apprehensive at first, because I thought it would just be mums and their children, but I was instantly welcomed and accepted by everyone.
The group has a “proper playgroup” feel to it. Different aged pre-school children and babies, dashing about together, and lots of lovely age appropriate (and clean!) toys.
We also make pictures and things to take home for mummy and daddy, and the lady from the library comes to sing us songs and show us books.
Then we all have a drink and a biscuit, which is included in the price, and where else these days can you go with a child for an hour and a half, to play, make, sing etc and get a snack all for £2? Not many places I can think of!
ase come and join in – the more the merrier!
We meet Monday and Thursdays, Holbeach Reading Rooms (next to the library) 9.30-11am.
