How very generous of Mr Moran (man behind development plans for Spalding – Ed) to say that we, the people of Spalding, will get a large area of green space out of this deal.
However, he conveniently forgets that we already have this green space, in the centre of town, covered by the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field Trust Document covering the whole of the playing field, not part of it.
Why doesn’t Mr Moran approach the people of Spalding and give them the chance to vote on this matter as it is their land? He seems to have approached everybody else. Is he afraid of what the answer might be?
South Holland District Council is behaving arbitrarily in this matter. They too should be consulting the people of Spalding – it would save a great deal of time and effort.
