LIBRARY CLOSURES: You could help force new debate

Have your say

The libraries are a fundamental part of Englishness. We pay £55million a day into Europe,

this includes approximately £1million a day from Lincolnshire and we are expected to save £5,500 a day by depriving future generations of this valuable source of education, socialisation, leisure and pleasure.

The Conservatives passed this measure in February, it was overturned by the new scrutiny committee in June and resurrected by the Conservative executive in July.

Unison is not my union but they have rightly raised a petition, which will have to have at

least 3,500 signatures; yours might be the one to force a new debate in full county council.
